It drove little hard home, but made it. Spent 4 weeks sanding it in the garage, no rust just paint it had been painted 2 times before, a red, and maroon with a clear coat. I had to work real hard for weeks to get the old paint off the neighbors hated me for weeks. Body ready for paint , rebuild front-end completely, ball joints, tie rods, bushings, new rotor, calapers, studs everything. Rear end next, new axle bearing, seals, drums shoes, and all new springs Friend at the shop gave me 4 tires and rims so I could get it to the paint shop. Nice guy huh" NOT". I bought tire & rims from him he did not give me a break because they were to damn expensive New reader pipes and flow master sounds good, now you can really hear the crane hypo cam Then off to the paint shop. I leave about 6:00 a.m. to go get it painted about 65 miles one way. By the time I get there I'm deaf. the flow masters with no tail pipe end behind the seat. what a deafening roar. Frank had the Elk for 3-4 weeks. Then I go to pick it up. No bumper, no chrome, no grill etc. . But bright red on my way back home, on the freeway people stare again something different this time people are giving me thumbs up, peace signs, an ok signs. Next the bumpers went on and all the chrome, interior ,carpet, steering wheel, tires, and 180 watt disc MP 3. Next trick out the motor, more on that later. Looking for all new glass, old glass water spoted for30 years. I'm still working on the Elk. Will I ever stop? I doubt it. The car stays in garage while my wife's new car sits outside, she real happy about that. I'll keep you posted on what's next.
Don't ask how much is in it,
the wife might find out.....
Talk to you later
